Medtronic, a global healthcare technology leader with about 90,000 employees in 150 countries, needed to find, classify, and securely manage critical data across a complex, distributed environment. The company sought better visibility into data movement and a way to reduce operational complexity and labor intensity while meeting strict data protection priorities.

Medtronic implemented Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange—including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), web and email DLP, multi‑mode CASB, and zero‑trust app access—to centralize control and visibility. The deployment improved visibility over data movement, unified logging and alerting across SWG, DLP, and CASB, reduced environmental complexity, and simplified operations, lowering the labor required to manage data protection.
