A Zscaler Case Study
Maxeon Solar Technologies, a global solar panel manufacturer with ~5,000 employees across 40 locations, faced a critical challenge during its divestiture: maintain business continuity while modernizing a legacy, data center–centric security posture. Traditional perimeter firewalls and hard-to-manage DLP left remote workers and valuable IP (1,400+ patents) at risk, and the company needed a scalable, cloud-first solution to support fast-growing remote access and SaaS usage.
Maxeon implemented Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange—including Zscaler Internet Access, Zscaler Digital Experience, Cloud Firewall and integrated Cloud DLP—with CrowdStrike integration to enforce policies, inspect traffic inline, and protect endpoints. The result: all data centers decommissioned, 60–70% of workloads migrated to the cloud, secure work-from-anywhere access across 16 countries, and measurable security gains (134% more traffic processed quarterly, 31M policy violations prevented in a quarter, and 2.9M threats blocked in three months).
