Case Study: Konoike Transport achieves secure, high-speed remote access and seamless cloud connectivity with Zscaler ZIA & ZPA

Fully deployed ZIA and ZPA at 170 domestic locations and nearly 60 group companies worldwide for the purpose of driving digital work

Konoike Transport, a nationwide logistics and contracting-services company pursuing a Cloud First IT strategy, needed to enable secure, high‑performance access to internet, cloud and internal systems across 170 domestic locations and nearly 60 group companies. Growing SaaS use, a datacenter‑gateway VPN model and multiple carrier setups created bandwidth bottlenecks, complex device management and restricted remote/public network use — challenges that became urgent as the company prepared for remote work and faced COVID‑19 disruptions.

Konoike deployed endpoint protection alongside Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), beginning a PoC in April 2019 and expanding to about 650 users by May 2019. The cloud‑delivered solution gave seamless, secure access to external and internal applications, supported rapid telework during office closures, and is being rolled out company‑ and group‑wide to improve user experience, maintain business continuity and simplify network operations.
