Fannie Mae Secures Direct-to-Internet for 10,000 Users

Fannie Mae, a leading U.S. mortgage-finance company with over 7,400 employees, embarked on a cloud-driven digital transformation and faced a networking challenge: enable collaboration (notably Microsoft 365) for 10,000 users while cutting bandwidth and eliminating costly HQ backhauling, reduce sprawling IT complexity (including 38 data-replication models), and gain better visibility and security across all traffic.

Fannie Mae deployed the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange, using Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) to establish local internet breakouts and direct-to-internet connectivity. The solution delivered ultra-low latency with no backhauling, consolidated replication models from 38 down to two, improved visibility and control (including encrypted traffic), and increased flexibility, resiliency, security, and compliance for the organization.
