Edelweiss Secures Its At-Home Workforce in 48 Hours

Edelweiss Financial Services faced the challenge of moving more than 11,000 employees from 450 offices to a secure at-home workforce in the middle of the pandemic, while protecting sensitive financial data and keeping productivity high. The company had already begun shifting to a software-defined, zero-trust model and had deployed Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), then turned to Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) to provide secure remote access.

Zscaler rolled out ZPA to Edelweiss Financial Services’ entire staff within 48 hours, enabling employees to access internal and external applications securely from home. The result was a smooth work-from-home transition for about 95% of staff, with no disruption or loss of productivity, while supporting a surge to roughly 2,500 daily Microsoft Teams meetings and about 4,000 concurrent users—loads that would have overwhelmed the legacy VPN.
