DXC Technology Migrates to Zero Trust in Just 90 Days to Drive Its Virtual-First Strategy

DXC Technology, a global IT services leader with 130,000+ employees across 60+ countries, set out to become a virtual-first organization but needed to move off perimeter-based firewalls and VPNs. The main challenges were securing internet and SaaS traffic at scale, gaining real-time visibility into TLS/SSL traffic and bandwidth, and rapidly migrating to a zero trust architecture to protect remote users and customer environments.

In just 90 days DXC deployed the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (including Zscaler Internet Access), integrated with CrowdStrike and Okta, to provide cloud-native inline inspection, sandboxing, identity- and device-based access, and granular bandwidth controls. The rollout secured 130k+ users, processed 40.6 billion transactions and ~1,983 TB of traffic in three months, prevented 1.3 billion policy violations, blocked 9.2 million threats (including 1.6 million threats in encrypted traffic), and delivered improved visibility, productivity, recruitment benefits, and operational efficiencies.
