Case Study: Curalate achieves rapid, secure AWS application access with Zscaler Private Access

A Zscaler Case Study

Preview of the Curalate Case Study

Curalate and Zscaler™ Private Access

Curalate, a Philadelphia-based digital commerce platform that helps more than 800 brands personalize discovery, runs its entire infrastructure on AWS VPCs. Until recently it used OpenVPN to provide access, which forced users to know where each app lived and introduced performance, usability, redundancy, and policy-management problems that disrupted day-to-day operations.

Curalate adopted Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), which abstracts applications from the network so access is user‑based and app‑specific (apps are invisible to unauthorized users), automatically routes users to the best instance, and prevents lateral movement. Lightweight Connectors and a simple endpoint app made deployment fast—Curalate moved from proof of concept to production in three weeks—while improving availability and simplifying policy administration.
