Colt Technology Services, a London-based telecom provider serving 25,000+ businesses with 5,000+ employees across 60 offices, needed to secure a rapid cloud migration and hybrid work model. An aging proxy left encrypted traffic uninspected and legacy VPNs couldn’t provide dynamic, granular access—creating blind spots to malware and hindering remote productivity.

Partnering with Zscaler, Colt deployed the cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange (ZIA, with ZPA planned) to inspect all encrypted traffic, enable direct-to-internet access, and replace VPNs with microsegmented private-app access. The rollout protected 5,000 hybrid employees in three months—83% faster than the legacy solution—while processing 6.7 billion transactions, blocking ~476,000 threats and preventing over 100 million policy violations quarterly, improving security posture and employee experience while reducing support tickets.
