CEnet Delivers Scalable Internet Security as a Service

CEnet is an Australian not‑for‑profit that delivers network and internet services to K‑12 communities across 17 dioceses, supporting about 330,000 students, teachers, and staff. Rapid membership growth (20–25% year‑over‑year), tight bandwidth capacity, low visibility into web traffic, and the need to keep school data private created a pressing requirement for a cloud‑native, multitenant zero trust solution that would integrate with existing tools.

CEnet deployed the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange—including Zscaler Internet Access, a Private Service Edge, Nanolog Streaming Service, and Okta integration—to secure and scale shared services. The rollout provided secure internet and SaaS access from anywhere and any device, real‑time alerting and SIEM integration, reduced operational complexity and costs, improved threat protection, and increased member confidence while supporting continued 20–25% growth.
