Trek, one of the world’s leading bicycle manufacturers, faced a common e-commerce problem: shoppers struggled to choose from its 300+ bike options and many customizations, which lowered purchase confidence. To address this, Trek partnered with Zoovu and deployed Zoovu’s Digital Commerce Search technology to create an interactive guided selling experience tailored to novice and experienced riders alike.
Using Zoovu, Trek launched a Bike Finder that guides users through targeted questions to match them with the right bike; the tool doubled conversion likelihood for users versus non-users, engages 4% of site traffic, and has been expanded to 35 countries and additional categories (saddles and tires). Zoovu’s platform also gave Trek actionable customer insights—showing the Bike Finder mainly reaches novice riders—and enabled rapid global rollout and localization.
