METRO’s Corporate Marketing aimed to create a more positive in-store experience to drive footfall and increase sales by integrating self-service solutions on kiosks and touchscreens. To meet this challenge METRO selected Zoovu’s AI Conversational Marketing platform to deploy conversation-based digital shopping assistants that personalize product discovery, simplify purchase decisions, and optimize employee time.
Zoovu rolled out digital assistants in an 8-week pilot at MAKRO Cash & Carry Alleur across 4 categories, 3 channels and 3 languages using its WYSIWYG platform and Zoovu Insights for continuous optimization. The implementation drove strong engagement and measurable impact: about 300 self-service in-store customers per week, a 50% click-through rate, a 100% conversion-rate uplift vs the webshop category page, and 72% of customers rating advice quality highly.
