Washington Redskins - Customer Case Study

The Washington Commanders (formerly the Redskins) sought to enhance the quality of user-generated content from their annual Social Media Day event, which had been plagued by uninspiring posts and hashtag spamming from users seeking prizes. To address this challenge and gamify engagement, the team partnered with their new social media provider, Zoomph, and utilized its ZPoints influence-scoring algorithm.

The solution implemented by Zoomph centered on using ZPoints to create a real-time influencer leaderboard, which sparked a creative competition among attendees vying for a top spot. The platform also facilitated a social media bingo game to inspire content creation. This approach successfully incentivized higher-quality posts, resulting in over 1,700 uses of the event hashtag, which the Commanders could then repurpose. Zoomph's tools helped transform the event into a successful marketing initiative that generated significant free PR and positive fan feedback.
