How LAFC’s pursuit of better data helped create a Major League Soccer powerhouse

LAFC, the Major League Soccer club, needed a better way to understand digital engagement and prove the value of its content and sponsorships as it built a fanbase from scratch. Before working with Zoomph, the club’s previous analytics tools did not provide the level of detail needed to evaluate what was working across social media, matchday timing, and partner activations.

Zoomph implemented its digital engagement measurement platform for LAFC, giving the club granular data on every post, content type, sponsor asset, and campaign performance. With Zoomph, LAFC improved content decisions, ran A/B tests, and better managed partnerships; the club also reported more than 1.3 million social followers, ranked seventh in MLS, and said the data helped show similar or even greater reach and engagement during COVID-19 than expected.
