Werner Enterprises goes ‘Cloud First, Cloud Now’ by selecting Zoom’s unified communications platform

Werner Enterprises, one of the nation’s largest logistics and shipping providers, wanted to become the first transportation company to fully migrate to the cloud while improving communication reliability for its thousands of mobile associates and drivers. Its legacy on-premises system depended on physical infrastructure and was difficult to manage, creating challenges for safety-critical communication in remote or disrupted conditions. Werner Enterprises turned to Zoom Video Communications and its unified communications platform, including Zoom Meetings and Zoom Phone, to support the transition.

Zoom Video Communications implemented a cloud-based communications solution that consolidated phone and meetings into a single app, reducing complexity for users and IT teams. The shift helped Werner Enterprises simplify infrastructure, move away from 27 servers, and improve connectivity for roadside assistance and other mobile operations. By using Zoom, Werner Enterprises advanced its “Cloud First, Cloud Now” strategy and gained a more reliable, scalable communications environment.
