A Zoom Video Communications Case Study
Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (TWoA), New Zealand’s second-largest higher‑education provider with more than 60 networked campuses and 90+ additional delivery locations, needed a simple, affordable way to enable face‑to‑face collaboration across a nationwide footprint. Their previous video conferencing system was costly, complicated and underused, so TWoA sought a solution that was intuitive and value‑for‑money.
TWoA standardized on Zoom and rolled out about 20 Zoom Rooms in phase one, equipping each room for roughly $6,000 versus about $30,000 for comparable proprietary hardware. The Zoom deployment delivered high‑quality, easy‑to‑use video meetings at roughly one‑fifth the cost, enabling faster rollout across campuses and improved collaboration for staff and students.
