Students Rising Above (SRA) is a non‑profit that supports low‑income, first‑generation college students who have overcome severe hardship. Keeping learners engaged online was a major challenge: SRA needed a reliable, intuitive video platform to host 8–12 large webinars a month and to share content with partner organizations without the distractions and dropout caused by laggy connections.

By adopting Zoom, SRA gained an easy-to-set-up, consistent conferencing backbone that enabled more frequent, diverse panelists—including alumni and community members—and improved student retention and engagement. The platform also streamlined internal communication for a largely remote staff, reducing email back-and-forth and freeing employees to focus on program delivery.
