A Zoom Video Communications Case Study
Sonos, a maker of high-end smart speakers with offices across the U.S., Europe, China and Australia, needed better ways for distributed engineering teams to collaborate. Engineers often worked in isolation at benches or desks, making it hard to share physical parts and solve complex problems in real time across locations.
Sonos deployed Zoom Rooms with high-resolution overhead cameras in project rooms to create a shared, physical workspace where colleagues can closely inspect components and collaborate live. The rollout—now more than 170 Zoom Rooms—made Zoom an essential, employee-favorite tool; in an internal collaboration survey Zoom Video Conferencing ranked first and Zoom Rooms second, and teams report improved workflows and connectivity.
