Saarland University the future of international conferences is hybrid

Saarland University faced the challenge of organizing an international conference in a hybrid format while keeping parallel sessions running smoothly and ensuring participants felt fully included. The university’s team, led by Prof. Astrid Fellner and Eva Nossem, turned to Zoom Video Communications and its Zoom Events platform to make the event possible.

Zoom Video Communications helped Saarland University deliver a professional hybrid conference with 151 online attendees from more than 30 countries, bringing total participation to 250 people. With Zoom Events and support from the Zoom team, the organizers ran 28 individual meetings and up to five sessions in parallel, managed the expo and follow-up communications easily, and created a flexible, user-friendly experience that expanded reach and participation.
