A Zoom Video Communications Case Study
NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation (NESIC), a global system integrator and subsidiary of NEC, supports enterprises, telecoms and governments across Japan and internationally. As NESIC expanded remote and satellite work, its legacy video systems—complicated, VDI-dependent, and requiring on-site engineers—couldn’t deliver the stable, high-quality communications needed for effective distributed collaboration.
NESIC deployed Zoom company-wide (Zoom Pro licenses), along with H.323/SIP Connectors and 150 Zoom Rooms licenses (50 installed, 100 for expansion), enabling simpler, reliable meetings without dedicated room engineers. The change drove around 2,100 domestic and international Zoom meetings per month, saved employees an average of 4.5 hours/month in travel and troubleshooting, and improved customer engagement, recruiting webinars, and sales-engineer collaboration.
