Case Study: Monash University achieves seamless, scalable collaboration with Zoom Video Communications

A Zoom Video Communications Case Study

Preview of the Monash University Case Study

Monash University spends over 1 billion combined minutes on Zoom

Monash University, a large international university with campuses across Australia and growing remote learning needs, needed a simpler, more reliable way for staff and students to collaborate across locations. After trying Zoom for video conferencing in 2017, the university adopted Zoom Video Communications’ platform, including Meeting SDK, Zoom App Marketplace, and later Zoom Phone, to replace a more cumbersome room-based setup.

Zoom Video Communications helped Monash University streamline communications with a uniform, easy-to-use experience, better analytics, and features like webinars, closed captioning, breakout rooms, and recording. The impact has been significant: in 2021 alone, Monash logged 3.8 million Zoom meetings, 17 million participant connections, and 1.05 billion combined minutes, while more than 2,000 staff used Zoom Phone to support more efficient hybrid and remote work.
