Case Study: BdREN achieves accessible quality education in remote areas with Zoom Video Communications

A Zoom Video Communications Case Study

Preview of the BdREN Case Study

How BdREN used Zoom to provide quality education to remote areas

BdREN, the Bangladesh Research and Education Network serving higher education and research institutions, faced major challenges delivering quality education in remote areas with limited infrastructure and a shortage of qualified teachers. To bridge these gaps, BdREN adopted Zoom Video Communications’ virtual classroom platform to support online learning and collaboration for students and faculty across Bangladesh.

Zoom Video Communications helped BdREN run virtual classrooms with video, screen sharing, and class recording, while also enabling on-premises hosting, LMS integration, and API-based automation. The results were significant: BdREN expanded from 70 to 195 institutes, grew Zoom-using faculty from about 100 to 27,000 during the pandemic, improved access to education in remote areas, and reduced travel and classroom costs while maintaining service quality and data control.
