Green Bay Area Public School District embraces flexible communication with the Zoom platform

Green Bay Area Public School District needed a more flexible way to keep 3,000 staff members connected after the pandemic exposed the limits of its on-premises phone systems. As a district serving 42 schools and nearly 20,000 students, Green Bay Area Public School District turned to Zoom Video Communications and its Zoom platform, including Zoom Phone, to support virtual instruction, staff communication, and mobile work.

Zoom Video Communications implemented a cloud-based phone system with SMS, softphone access, nomadic E911, and API integrations so staff could call and text from the Zoom app on mobile devices or computers. The result was much greater flexibility across the district, faster communication for traveling staff, and improved school safety features, with SMS helping messages reach parents and staff more reliably than email.
