Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) needed to replace a dated, fragmented communications setup and support flexible work. Zoom Video Communications delivered a unified platform that was deployed quickly and configured with strong security controls such as authentication, password policies, and two-factor authentication. The results included a two-week deployment, elimination of unauthorized meeting access, remote porting of 733 numbers across 10 locations, and stronger continuity for remote and inclement-weather work. Public meeting attendance increased significantly, and Zoom became the agency’s primary method for future public meetings.
