Florida State Courts System expands access through “courts as a service” approach

Florida State Courts System needed a simple, cloud-based, cost-effective way to connect a dispersed IT team and support remote collaboration across its statewide court network. When the pandemic hit, that need quickly grew into a requirement for Zoom Video Communications to enable remote hearings and keep judicial operations running across 1,700-plus statewide licenses.

Zoom Video Communications implemented a secure virtual meeting platform across Florida’s courts, supported by training on features like Personal Meeting ID, recurring meetings, cloud recording, Zoom Webinars, and Zoom Rooms. The result was faster case scheduling, reduced travel for participants, stronger access to justice, and a shift to a “courts as a service” model, with Florida courts now using Zoom every day for virtual, hybrid, and internal operations.
