Flexible learning, events, and employee mobility at the heart of Heartland AEA’s UCaaS strategy

Heartland AEA, Iowa’s largest Area Education Agency, needed a secure, easy-to-use communications platform to support flexible learning, staff mobility, and collaboration across its 6,370-square-mile service area. The organization, which serves 53 public school districts and 30 non-public schools, chose Zoom Video Communications and began using Zoom for meetings before expanding to webinars, events, phone, and rooms.

Zoom Video Communications implemented a full suite including Zoom Meetings, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, Zoom Webinars, and Zoom Events, with Professional Services helping migrate and provision 600+ users during the phone cutover. The results included simpler administration, improved staff training and efficiency, better support for distance learning and statewide events, and stronger engagement for large sessions of 300 to 500 attendees; Heartland AEA also reported reduced infrastructure costs and highly reliable event delivery.
