A Zoom Video Communications Case Study
The Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) is a nonprofit that helps schools connect with museums, zoos and other content providers for virtual field trips and collaborative learning. Facing a need for an affordable, easy-to-use video conferencing solution that teachers with limited technical expertise could rely on, CILC sought a platform that delivered strong customer experience and simple deployment for events like the ISTE expo.
After evaluating non-H.323 options, CILC chose Zoom for its low cost, “click once” ease of use and responsive support. At ISTE they connected roughly 20 in-person content providers with about 15 remote sites; presenters navigated slides and multimedia smoothly, Q&A sessions ran easily, and several partners adopted or planned to adopt Zoom—helping CILC expand virtual programming to many schools that previously thought video conferencing was out of reach.
