Dhammakaya Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Thailand, needed a reliable way to move its large ceremonies and meditation programs online during the COVID-19 pandemic. With support from Zoom Video Communications, Dhammakaya Temple integrated Zoom into daily programs and major events, backed by local and cloud infrastructure to support scale. The temple projected Zoom participants onto massive LED screens for Earth Day 2022, showing over 25,000 participants at once, and expanded its Zoom licenses by 50% as demand grew. Zoom helped the temple reach people worldwide, increase engagement through live messaging and reactions, and continue its mission of meditation and outreach at lower cost.
