BPAY Group, the Australian organization that powers secure electronic bill payments, faced the sudden shift to remote and hybrid work during the COVID‑19 pandemic. With a legacy phone system and multiple communications tools that were costly, unreliable, and hard to manage for a fully remote workforce, the company needed a scalable, user‑friendly solution that would keep teams connected and simplify IT overhead.

BPAY implemented Zoom Meetings in 2019 and later migrated to Zoom Phone, creating a single, integrated platform for video, chat and telephony. Usage climbed from about 500 to 2,500 meetings per month, adoption was fast thanks to ease of use, and the unified approach reduced complexity and maintenance costs while improving collaboration, social connection and central control of communications across the organisation.
