Halla Climate Control Canada, a maker of custom underbody refrigerant and coolant lines and other automotive A/C components, was struggling with high scrap and rework, manual SPC reporting, data-entry errors and the need to meet AIAG and customer reporting requirements. To tackle these challenges they partnered with Zontec and implemented the Synergy 2000 SPC software.

Using Zontec’s Synergy 2000, Halla moved from paper to online SPC, eliminating transcription errors and gaining extractable data for industry reports. The solution highlighted out-of-control processes on the shop floor and, within about three months, reduced PPM from 50 to 10, cut scrap by 80%, and significantly lowered rework—helping Halla drive toward a Six Sigma goal of 1 PPM.
