SPIROL International Corporation, a leading manufacturer of engineered fastening and joining components, faced the need for a modern SPC system to capture and display process data instantly across its shop floor. With more than 110 pieces of equipment and over 22,000 items to monitor — and high run rates (for example, 500 pieces/min and processes involving up to 1 million pieces) — SPIROL needed software that let operators monitor up to six machines, test slight process changes before implementation, and provide real-time historical and graphical SPC data.
