MASS Precision Uses Synergy to Manage Suppliers’ Precision

MASS Precision, a U.S.-based contract manufacturer serving medical, automotive and military customers, faced the twin challenges of managing supplier quality (notably zinc plating) and maintaining extreme part precision (down to 50 millionths of an inch). To address these risks they implemented Zontec’s Synergy 2000 statistical process control (SPC) software to monitor processes and communicate quality data in real time.

Using Zontec’s Synergy 2000, MASS Precision sends suppliers screenshots and SPC data, enforces inspection templates on punch presses for preventative maintenance, and extends real-time control across production. The solution paid for itself in four months, reduced plating-thickness failures from about once a week to about once a month, lowered defect costs, improved supplier processes, and enabled broader roll‑out across the business.
