APS Materials, a 35-year provider of thermal spray solutions for the biomedical, aerospace, automotive and semiconductor industries, needed reliable Statistical Process Control (SPC) reporting because customers require Process Capability Index (Cpk) proof that coatings meet tight tensile, porosity, roughness and thickness specifications. To meet that demand they turned to Zontec and implemented Synergy 1000 SPC software.

Zontec’s Synergy 1000 gave APS Materials real‑time Cpk reporting and process-control visibility, replacing manual Excel calculations and enabling early identification of out-of-spec conditions. The solution saved about 100 man‑hours per year, allowed APS to add several hundred data tables, improved reporting efficiency to customers, and made SPC much easier to use.
