Case Study: Hot Line Construction achieves fleet visibility, stolen-truck recovery and major savings with Zonar Systems

A Zonar Systems Case Study

Preview of the Hot Line Construction Case Study

High voltage construction fleet saves big money with real-time insight

Hot Line Construction, Inc., a Brentwood, California–based utility contractor with an 800-vehicle mixed fleet that performs largely high‑voltage work across urban and remote areas, needed reliable, mobile-friendly GPS tracking and better remote visibility as its Zonar contract came up for renewal. Fleet managers spend more time in the field than at a desk and required enhanced mapping, theft protection and predictive maintenance to keep crews and equipment safe and operational.

Zonar’s web-based Ground Traffic Control (with V4, FaultIQ and ZTrak) gave real-time, mobile access to vehicle locations and health across the entire fleet. The system enabled recovery of three stolen trucks (including one with more than $400K in value and equipment), prevented an estimated $40K engine replacement, delivered predictive maintenance alerts, improved manager efficiency and sealed a renewed, mission‑critical partnership.
