Highland Electric Fleets, a Massachusetts-based pioneer founded in 2019, offers turnkey diesel-to-electric school bus conversions and manages 400+ electric buses under contract. Highland needed real-time visibility into each bus’s location and battery state of charge to ensure routes were met, optimize charging schedules and costs, and feed data into its Highland Dashboard — data few telematics providers would freely or fully provide.

Highland leveraged the factory‑installed Zonar V4 and Zonar Ground Traffic Control to deliver direct, customizable GPS and SoC feeds without added installation costs.
