How American Eagle Outfitters Inc. Made Store Communications a Competitive Differentiator

American Eagle Outfitters faced inconsistent, hard-to-manage store communications and needed a way to package messages for field leadership, create a single source of truth, and provide a consistent desktop and mobile experience to improve store execution. They selected Zipline, the operations platform that combines store communications and task management, to address those needs.

Zipline rolled out a pilot (starting with 150 stores, expanding to 300) and delivered a single, mobile-friendly platform with drag-and-drop publishing and task management; implementation took just a few weeks and reduced reliance on printed binders and paper checklists. Results from the pilot showed strong adoption: 100% of pilot stores said Zipline was an improvement, 97% reported it improved how they receive and process home office communication, and 96% said it’s easy to search and find communications — all while reducing work for AEO’s technology team and helping the company respond quickly during COVID‑19.
