Windsor Partners with Zip to Launch an Omnichannel Buy Now, Pay Later Strategy

Windsor, a fashion retailer focused on accessible, on-trend apparel, needed a seamless omnichannel Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution to better serve a mobile-first customer base (85% mobile traffic) and bridge online and in-store experiences. Seeking an alternative to their previous provider, Windsor selected Zip for its strong partnership fit and easy mobile access.

Zip integrated its BNPL solution with Windsor’s Shopify Plus platform (went live October 2020) in a low-effort rollout, enabling omnichannel use and an in-store rollout underway. The results include a 55% lift in average order value for Zip purchases, steady transaction share post-launch despite a $1 per installment fee, and strong customer sentiment — 97% would continue using Zip at Windsor and 90% would use it in-store, with 87% of previously unaware customers still likely to purchase using Zip.
