Case Study: First Lego League helps students create a pet adoption decision tree with Zingtree

A Zingtree Case Study

Preview of the First Lego League Case Study

Grade school students use decision trees to bring science to life with LEGO

First LEGO League team “Loading...” from Minneapolis, a group of six child-engineers and two adult mentors, took on the “Animal Allies” challenge focused on helping animals and humans live better together. Their challenge was to create a practical way to help potential pet owners think through whether they were ready to adopt and what kind of pet would be the best fit.

Zingtree provided an interactive decision tree platform that let the team build a guided pet-adoption tool with ease. Using Zingtree’s tutorials and easy-to-edit decision tree builder, the team created their app quickly and successfully, and brought their science project to tournament competition. While no hard metrics were given, the case study highlights faster app creation, flexibility, and a successful result for the team.
