Renaissance Toronto Downtown is a 348-room hotel uniquely located inside Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto, where frequent events create high operational demand. The property relied on walkie talkies, radios and email to coordinate front desk, housekeeping and engineering teams, which made accountability, message clarity and real-time response difficult—especially during peak seasons.

The hotel piloted Zinc across front desk, housekeeping and engineering, using desktop and mobile apps to enable text, voice and video communication with read receipts. Adoption sped up cross‑department coordination, saved staff “hundreds of hours” monthly, cut task times by up to an hour per employee, improved accountability and guest service during busy periods, and is now being rolled out to additional departments.
