Transalis, a UK specialist in electronic data interchange and process automation, needed to move away from the limitations of a Windows-based hMailServer to a more flexible, Linux-based collaboration platform. The company sought better collaboration features, cross-platform usability, and a self-managed solution that could support both internal operations and customized deployments for customers.

They installed Zimbra Network Edition on CentOS 7 for 125 mailboxes and found the migration straightforward. Zimbra’s web-based administration and built-in collaboration tools (shared calendars, mobility across Windows/Linux/Android/iOS) improved usability and flexibility, while Zimlet-based customizations let Transalis offer tailored Zimbra Open Source Edition deployments to customers.
