JanPak Sees Huge Lift in Productivity with Its New Collaboration Hub

JanPak, a North Carolina–based distributor of janitorial and packaging products serving over 14,000 customers, needed to replace a decade-old Lotus Notes email system that blocked integration with newly developed in‑house CRM, data warehousing and sales automation tools. With about 275 users across 15 locations, the company also required a rich webmail interface and had to complete a full migration within a month before the Lotus Notes license expired.

JanPak chose VMware Zimbra Collaboration Suite, migrated users over a weekend using the Zimbra Lotus Notes Migration Tool, integrated Zimbra with BlackBerry Enterprise Server, and rebranded the service as JPMail. The deployment delivered web access and powerful search from day one, cut provisioning and client‑maintenance time, eliminated client upgrades, and enabled ongoing CRM–email integration (shared contacts and calendar), producing significant time savings and productivity gains.
