A Zimbra Case Study
Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) is an ISO‑accredited Indonesian shipping terminal serving more than 30 shipping lines with routes to 25+ countries. Facing the need to secure and standardize corporate email across employees’ mobile devices, JICT needed to restrict legacy POP/IMAP access and enforce webmail or ActiveSync only—capabilities their previous Qmail system could not provide.
JICT deployed Zimbra Collaboration (about 700 mailboxes) with Mobile Device Management, calendar/tasks sharing and class-of-service controls, working with local partner Jabetto. The solution enforced mobile email policies, improved team collaboration and resource sharing, and delivered a lower‑cost, easy‑to‑use alternative to heavier messaging platforms; JICT is now exploring self‑service password tools as a next step.
