Adriatico Crewing Ukraine, a marine crewing agency founded in 1990 with offices in Ukraine and a liaison office in Piraeus, needed a more efficient way to exchange information between offices, seafarers and ship owners. Their mix of Zimbra Open Source, Skype, ICQ and custom tools (Postfix, MS SQL, Delphi API) was cumbersome, limited extensibility and created inefficiencies across operations.
They migrated to Zimbra Network Edition with Zimbra Talk to unify email, chat, voice and video in a single web/mobile client, gaining a simple, customizable communications platform. By implementing Zimbra Briefcase, a Downloader Zimlet, shared mailboxes and additional custom Zimlets, Adriatico streamlined file uploads and database processing, reduced operational effort and saved time while continuing to build integrations for message tracking and deeper database connectivity.
