LendingClub, a San Francisco–based financial services marketplace, needed a way to monitor, measure and report media activity across diverse stakeholders and products. Before 2017 the company had no automated system for media analytics, crisis alerts or competitive intelligence, so it selected Zignal Labs and its media analytics platform (including Zignal Discover) to provide a continuous, objective pulse on earned media across broadcast, news and social channels.
Zignal Labs implemented real‑time profiles and queries, pre-built dashboards, a public Command Center, crisis alerts and the Discover search tool to compare messaging terms and audience resonance. The platform delivered instant alerts, weekly reports and objective sentiment/reach analysis for earnings and crisis response, helped LendingClub identify that “financial health” outperformed “financial fitness” in mentions, and provided measurable evidence to refine messaging and track Brand Health Message Impact—improving response times, competitive intelligence and communications effectiveness.
