A Ziften Case Study
The Council Rock School District, the 12th largest district in Pennsylvania, needed better network visibility after a student tricked an IT technician into granting admin access, exposing gaps in its ability to detect malicious activity. The district wanted a solution that could help identify both external attacks and insider threats across its 15 schools and 5,000 endpoints, and it turned to Ziften as part of an integrated security approach.
Ziften helped the Council Rock School District gain continuous visibility into endpoints, supporting real-time threat detection, incident response, and forensics. Working alongside Lancope, Ziften enabled staff to spot and remove malware attempting to spread a botnet in about five minutes, instead of letting it linger for weeks or months; it also improved compliance, capacity planning, and software license rationalization.
