Case Study: CTS achieves full tobacco traceability and TPD compliance with ZetesAthena

CTS compliant-ready for the European TPD enabled by Zetes

CTS Santelé, a Belgian roll-your-own tobacco manufacturer, needed to comply with the European Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) and add complete product traceability across its production and distribution processes. To meet these regulatory requirements, CTS worked with ZetesAthena, using ZetesAtlas and ZetesOlympus to retrofit its production lines with serialization and tracking capabilities.

ZetesAthena implemented unit-level marking and aggregation for packets, boxes, and pallets, while ZetesOlympus registered the codes in the European hub and tracked logistics events throughout the supply chain. As a result, CTS gained full end-to-end traceability, improved visibility into genuine products, and the ability to support targeted recalls, all while achieving compliance with the European directive.
