Case Study: BP Oil streamlines labelling and improves production line efficiency with Zetes

A Zetes Case Study

Preview of the BP Oil Case Study

Zetes streamlines labelling process at BP Oil

BP Oil, one of the largest oil and petrochemicals groups in Britain, needed a more reliable way to manage highly regulated product labelling at its Ghent and Antwerp plants in Belgium. Because its lubricants and bulk products must meet strict country-specific safety and language requirements, BP Oil turned to Zetes for help with servicing older equipment, replacing outdated machines, and supporting new production lines.

Zetes implemented an updated labelling solution with new application software, refreshed IT architecture, wireless RF terminals, Ethernet-connected printers, and improved barcode quality control. The result was easier application management, faster communications, better operator visibility on the line, and improved printing quality; BP Oil also eliminated shift-start delays caused by serial data traffic, and the success of the Zetes solution led BP Oil to share it with other plants.
