Socigeste, a member of the Trivalor Group and a major food producer in Portugal, prepares 18,000 to 22,000 meals a day for institutional catering. As order volumes grew, the company needed to replace an outdated, slow label applicator used to identify food trays with key traceability information such as meal type, production date, best-before date, and customer name. Socigeste turned to Zetes Burótica for an automatic identification and mobility solution.

Zetes Burótica implemented Powersys’s ZPA 1100 label applicator, a robust print-and-apply system designed for fragile containers, along with the custom Label Apply software. The new setup automatically detects trays on the line, prints the correct labels from central production data, and applies them quickly and accurately to the tray sides, improving labeling speed and supporting traceability across Socigeste’s production and distribution chain.
