Servair automates monitoring of aircraft meal trays with Zetes

Servair, France’s leading aviation catering company, needed a faster and more reliable way to trace the thousands of meal trays, ingredients, orders, and stock movements it manages every day across its production sites. Facing strict airline punctuality requirements, last-minute changes, and the need for up-to-date information around the clock, Servair turned to Zetes to replace its paper-based workflow with a fully automated data collection system.

Zetes implemented a complete traceability solution with label printers, portable Intermec terminals, and an upgraded RF infrastructure for full wireless coverage. The new system enables real-time monitoring of meal trays from preparation to loading, supports up to 45,000 scans per day, and delivers 100% end-to-end traceability, faster dispatch and loading, reduced inventory, and better reporting and control. The improvements in efficiency and productivity were strong enough for Servair to roll out the Zetes solution to five additional sites.
