Productivity +20%, picking costs -17% at the DAO Group

DAO Group, the CONAD distribution centre for Trentino Alto Adige and operator of 300 points of sale across Italy, needed to replace its error-prone paper-based picking process after expanding its Lavis warehouse in 2014. It also wanted to reduce operators’ workload while improving productivity, and selected ZetesMedea Voice from Zetes as the best-fit solution.

Zetes implemented a fully integrated ZetesMedea Voice system using MCL Voice technology, Motorola WT4090 VOI terminals, and Motorola RCH51 headsets. The result was a 20% productivity increase, a 17% reduction in picking costs, and a drop in monthly errors from 176 to 32, while also improving working conditions and reducing overtime.
