James Hall & Co Ltd, the SPAR distributor for the north of England, needed a better way to manage delivery communication with its 635 retail stores. Using paper-based delivery notes, stores had little visibility into when multi-temp deliveries would arrive, creating uncertainty and frequent ETA phone calls.

Zetes implemented ZetesChronos, an electronic Proof of Delivery solution on rugged PDAs, fully integrated with James Hall’s WMS to provide real-time delivery visibility. Stores can now see live delivery updates and receive email alerts 15 minutes before arrival, which has reduced ETA calls to customer services; drivers also benefit from more route and store-specific information.
